Re: what kind of watch do you wear?

We are not allowed to wear wrist watches so I have a fob watch made by Pulsar, glows in the dark which is handy on nights.

I just got a timex with an expandable metal band. I think I picked up the men's version as the dial is quite large but thats what I was looking for.

Re: what kind of watch do you wear?

Before I started clinicals, I wanted to get a watch that you can clip on to your pocket, but I ended up not getting one. I regularly wore a watch, but I didn't want that particular one to be worn for clinical.

As I was shopping for a watch, I ended up finding a cute nurse Minnie Mouse watch at Wal-Mart! It has a thin, white, synthetic leather band, and on the end of the second hand, there is a heart.

For now I actually don't wear it the whole day. If there is not a clock on the wall of the patient's room, I will put it on to do vital signs, but then I will put it back in my pocket until I need it again. That way I don't have to worry about anything getting on it.

I saw this watch at amazon. It is in my wishlist. Do you like it?

Luminox-glows in the dark (self light powered). Adopted by the U.S. Navy seals (super tough), I never take mine off even when using power tools (not in the ER). Rotating bezel (helps keep track of drips, or shot times).

That's really neat that Amazon.com sells it through WatchNThings - just went and searched for it!

I do like it. It's cute, and very fitting for the environment in which I wear it, of course. It is easy to wipe down each day (with Clorox wipes/alcohol) because the band is synthetic leather.
