Talking Re: What kind of Backpack?

I tried a rolling backpack...for 1 day! It was great to get into the building from the parking lot, but then you have to struggle through people to get to a desk, it is just bulky and awkward! On Lab day Tuesday I just brought my pencil bag and notebook and textbook in my arms, a little heavy but doable. Today, I found a small leather backpack in a closet at home and took my lab manual notebook with paper in the back and my textbook for Nsg 105 and Pharmacology, my recorder, and pencil bag. That seems to be my favorite bag right now, our teachers said don't bring all our books after the first day, so I haven't and I have been fine.

Re: What kind of Backpack?

I have used Jansport for the last 4 years and it is still like new. I plan on using it for much longer. And believe me that backpack has been through a lot with me.

Re: What kind of Backpack?

How do you like it so far? I can't decide on one of those or a rolling backpack. I want one large enough to carry my books/misc. items/ and lunch !

Thanks

Re: What kind of Backpack?

Before dropping a lot of money on something I would go to your first class.

I can tell you that most of "us" don't bring our books. The instructors are dealing with the power points and the books just don't get used.

So I have a backpack that was laying around the house.

Re: What kind of Backpack?

I have an LL Bean Rolling deluxe backpack and LOVE it!! It has a lifetime warranty and I know Beans are good on their word- my kids have been using them for years and one time we had a zipper break 4-5 years into abuse, and got a new one IMMEDIATELY!

The wheels on mine are like Rollerblase wheels and very sturdy. The only minus is that the handle it is just a smidge short for me but I am 5'9" and mostly leg, but still it is doable.

Re: What kind of Backpack?

I just found one at Marshal's (Olpymia) for $10.00. So, even if I don't need it for NS...I am not out a whole lot of $$$.
Gotta love a deal

I agree that JanSport makes excellent-quality backpacks. They cost about $30 to $40 in major retail stores, and can be purchased on www.Ebay.com for as cheaply as $9.99, which is a bargain. I've had nothing but good experiences with JanSport bags.

Re: What kind of Backpack?

Oh geeshe the pump in style- I remember those days- with all three of my kids- I think I have spent about five years of my life nursing. LOL I used to have to carry that ugly black bag it came in along with my brief case to all my meetings at work. Fun! & Pumping in the car, good times! How are you going to get it in the back pack, my youngest is 4, have they gotten that much smaller in four years?
