No probelm Larry..LOL!!!!!!! The only bummer I find with it is leaning on a bed and hitting the controls! LOL!!!!!! Opsidaisy!

I happened to find an apron that is skiny...wasn't easy. There are also some that just fit on a belt loop or what not to the side...but it is too small for me! Mine also has a velcro band and snap loops that fit on it at the top for things.

I keep my shears, pens, alcohol wipes, sticky notes, 2x2's (for those suprise IV d/cs), a couple of IV endcap adaptors, a little clip watch, my cel, and keep my roll of tape on the velcro straps that keep my shears secure.

Yeah it proably looks dorky..but wow, I love having what I need handy!

(when I enter a room with a psych pt though..it comes off, steth off...so those with these may want to think on that one..I forgot a few times and thought...OMGosh, they could have taken my shears..with difficulty yes, but still!).

I wear unisex scrubs with only two pockets. One on the left chest and one on the back. I don't put anything in the back but can fit everything I need in the one pocket; two blue pens and one red, scissors, tubex, mini dry erase and permanent marker, alcohol pads and chapstick. Hemostats and tape clipped to my waist. There are times that I may put more in my pocket and it is a running joke that I have the neverending pocket, like a clown car.

Re: What do you use? A fanny pack?!

This has nothing to do with the OP question, but I had a teacher tell me that she went to Australia and went to different stores asking for a "fanny pack". She said people kept looking at her weird and people kept telling her "We don't sell that here". Eventually, one of the retail clerks told her that "fanny" was a vulgar name for vagina.

This post reminded me of that story.

You need pocketed clothing, and if you want tough scrubs that are darn near denim-like, try these:

not affiliated, etc, etc...

Re: What do you use? A fanny pack?!

I use a pocket organizer to hold pens, scissors, hemastats, alcohol swabs, keys, highlighter, and lunch money.

I have a tote bag that I keep in my locker with spares of the above things plus pain reliever, tums, lotion, toothbrush and tooth paste, floss, my purse, etc.

All of these things have come in handy, either for me or someone else.
