I can't stand this, 1 it is discusting, and 2 it is unprofessional! I was leaving my shift and one of the night shift nurses had on really light pink nursing scrubs with a thong, I really can't believe this. It really does look bad. It was very noticeable. Maybe they like a fellow employee, I don't know, but thongs shouldn't be worn with scrub pants. Any one else have the same beliefs? Or should thongs be ok? In nursing school we wanted to wear our navy pants instead of our white pants so we didn't have to worry about finding or white undies.

i think as long as you wear appropriate color thongs under your pants then its fine. wearing a red thong under white pants, no. but a red thong under red pants, why not? as long as it fits and doesnt stick out the top then its fine with me. i personally think thongs are more comfortable, and i really dont think that if i am the only one who can see my undies it is anyone elses business what cut they are.

Yeah, I do agree with you if they match thats fine, but this wasn't the situation. Some people I guess have more taste than others.

OP said she could see the thong through the pants.
Eww. All I can think when I see that kind of trashy dresser is, Is she trying to lure him or scare him away? Because if I was a guy, my choice would be the latter. In any case, completely inappropriate for the job, IMO.

I think an appropriately colored, well-fitting thong is a bit less offensive than a nasty pantyline.
Thong hanging out of scrubs or with contrasting colors that say "look at my naughty undies" is a whole different ball of wax.

I don't see what difference it makes whether or not it is a thong. I don't want to see any underwear through someone's scrubs, thong or granny panty. It's not that hard to find underwear that doesn't show through.
Number one tip is to wear skin-colored undies with white pants (not white undies). The skin-colored virtually disappear under white--try it.

Actually, whenever I happen to see someone's panty line showing (not that I look all the time!), I think to myself "sheesh, haven't they heard of thongs?".
Obviously, one's thong should not be showing through or above one's pants (nasty, IMHO), but I do think a thong can be the best way to NOT let your undies be seen, as long as it fits under your waistband, and is of an appropriate color.

And if people think you can't tell if you are wearing thongs or not, you're wrong as well. It takes but a second to see the line even a thong leaves and we all know where it is. To that I say: EEEEWWWWW! A friend of mine, who does wear them, calls hers "butt floss" and that's about how it seems to me. The very thought makes my skin crawl. I've been know to go "mondo" (not at work) when my panties creep up.
And if you have to change before and after your shift in a dressing room: well, double yuck!
But to each his own. I just don't want to know, frankly.

Some don't like the 'constant wedgie' feeling of thongs.
Personally I would rather know that someone is wearing underwear than see NO panty line and wonder. But really, I try to spend my time doing other stuff rather than looking at people's backsides wondering which article they've got on.

Agreed! But then some wearers (of any kind of undies) seem to think you want and need to know by what they choose to wear under and over! And didn't their mothers ever tell them to look in the mirror each and every time they leave the house? Mine sure did.
