I totally agree with you on that one!

Women who insist on wearing underwear, such as thongs, that can clearly be seen (I'm not referring to the women who wear them where you can't see them), to me, are sending the WRONG message at work.

i know this is going on almost a month ago, but i HAD to post. i would rather have thongs personally, but i totally hate when ppl do that at work. regardless of the color, i think that the suggestion of the lines are not appropriate at work. then you have the ppl that wear the tooo tight pants with white underwear. wth? just as bad, beige; nude,, LARGER size pants for gosh sakes.

Good story: CNA at a place i did clinicals had on boy shorts, but they were lacey see- through white frilly things.. that was soo much worse than any thong i have ever seen on anyone, much less at a work situation!!

I have to agree with this. I don't think we should assume that if a person wears a thong that they are slutty. I think of it like this: with bikinis I get a wedgie anyway. I'd much rather have a smaller piece of fabric in there than a bikini.

I dont think it was an issue with being "slutty"..(or was it, I can't quite remember now!!)..more a comfort thing on my part anyhow!
I would never label a thong as slutty, I wear them when I feel like it, just no with my scrubs, when I find boy shorts to be the best deal! No fancy lacey stuff mind you...cotton real comfort shorts! But..to each..Her Own!!! (just dont display them!)

(although, a wee aside, am fed up of some of our docs with their scrubs low hanging..showin their boxers! Where do you think you are boy..in Da 'Hood???) I have told more than one to pull their pants up, I don't appreciate their brand of undies flashin in the wee small hours of the mornin!!

Same rules for the guys as us Gals !!

I think someone said something about it being "slutty" or "trashy." I don't really like thongs with scrubs either myself. I prefer Hanes boxer briefs, unless I'm wearing white scrubs. Then I have to go with the nude colored boy shorts or something. I think these are more comfortable for nursing duties.
And I agree all hospital employees (male and female, doctor and nurse) need to keep their underwear inside their pants where no one else can see them.

I really don't care who wears what, but to the thong wearers: If you are wearing thongs with anything tighter than baggy and your butt is less than rock hard, then yes, its easy to tell you have on a thong. Your butt cheeks jiggle when you move much more than someone wearing traditional panties. There is no support. Like I said, I don't care who wears what. Come to work commando if that's how you like it...just don't bend over in front of me cuz I will laugh and embarrass the heck out of you all in the name of good fun.

We had a resident who used to wear striped underwear (briefs). After spending a couple hours sweating in worn Ceil scrubs under a lead apron and a surgical gown, it was all we could do not to laugh.

One time a tech had to run after him with a lab coat before he went out to talk to the family. He said he was too hot and did not need it, so she shouted down the hall "are you sure the family wants to see your black-and-white striped jockey shorts"?

He went a funny color, and never lived that down.
