Re: "Must Have" Gear

Luckily our daughter and grandkids are 4 hours away, so they weren't usually that much of a distraction. I can't imagine doing it with 4 little ones in the house.

Although, one of the worst things about NS is going to see my grandbabies for the weekend, and spending most of that time thinking "I should be home studying for that med-surg exam--I'm gonna fail!"

Re: "Must Have" Gear

I will say that having a good stethoscope would have made a HUGE different in nursing school. The crappy thing they tell you to buy is god awful and I swore I was either deaf or stupid about cardiac and lung sounds until I heard the difference between a quality and crap stethoscope.
My aunt bought me a littmann for graduation and I am eternally grateful. I don't think they are terrible expensive (like $40 i think) but they are worth the extra investment!

I start Nursing School in August and my kids are already out for blood,,they are 17,14,14,4, and 3..I'm really hoping that they turn into nice sweet well-behaved children that I see other parents with before classes begin..Knowing my kids though I really don"t see it happening
Oh well,,good thing there so lovable
