which kind of nike shox?

I see various kinds.. shox experience, turbo, etc. etc.

which kind should I get?

or any other footwear recommendations? please don't say crocs. I don't feel safe wearing something with holes in them, or shoes without a back covering.

I'm dying. I've tried a pair of new balance, hurt so bad.
past 3 days of 12 hr shifts, I've used my pair of sauconys that I use for exercising- I can exercise 2 hrs on the elliptical or treadmill with no problem. so I thought it'd help me during my shifts. they were better than the new balances, but still hurt. I just worked 3 days in a row, and I was dying yesterday. I also have been using some kind of gel insole.

the problem area is the BOTTOM of my foot. mostly at the heel area, it doesn't hurt that much towards my toes.

it hurts so much that I come home and complain nonstop. it's almost hard to fall asleep. massaging them somewhat helped relieve pain briefly.

thank you.

Go see a podiatrist if you can at all!!
They may be able to point you toward the right orthotic inserts.
My Shox are called (I think) Trainers and they are great.

Re: which kind of nike shox?

With whatever shox you get just make sure the actual shock is the thick one. They have a casual shock that is thinner; and the thicker ones work better for people on their feet long hours-a shoe salesman told me this. I just bought a new pair of Shox size 9.5, blue and white; paid $130 for them and they are actually too big. I can't take them back because I have worn them once, but I would be willing to sell them for $100 OBO. They are really cute, and I actually want to get another pair with the money; just the right size this time!

Re: which kind of nike shox?

Really, I'm not a salesman.

Order CUSTOM Nike shoes (all white for you student?!). My fav is the blue ghost flames with candy green metalic flake.

This girl in class ordered them...sweet shoes, comfortable, good air flow, good grip to lower slip, etc.

Re: which kind of nike shox?

12-hour shifts make my feet hurt. It doesn't matter what shoes I wear. My feet hurt after 8 hours. I don't do 12-hour shifts, period.

I wear Nikes, whichever are white and on sale. $40/pair is my limit. If a pair feels good after 2 or 3 shifts I go back and buy two more of the same. Three pair of cheapies usually last a year.

If new balance hurt your feet you should see a podiatrist. There is a reason you don't see marathon runner wearing nike and reeboks as much as NB and Saucony. It's almost like I can't wear anything else now. The other shoes feel so cheap and rough.

Re: which kind of nike shox?

File03..do you run around barefoot or have you recently jump off a trampoline?
I had a heel fracture that was killing me...just one side though. I volunteered w/ sports med for a while and you would see sprinters with metatarsal fractures (toward toes) and hurtlers with heel injuries.
It's just a thought... you probably just work too hard. Tread lightly.
