Comfy Shoes for Wide Feet?

Does anyone have ideas on comfy shoes for wide feet? I wear a ww width. I don't mind if they are pricey as long as they are comfortable for being on my feet all day.

KLOGS if you are allowed or are into that fit...I had the darndest time with foot pain pounding around on those hard floors for 12+ hours! I have seen others swear by Dansko but they tortured me. Klogs have many colors, including swirly pink and white ones that look like candy. Do try them!

Re: Comfy Shoes for Wide Feet?

I have a wide foot and terrible time finding comfortable shoes.

I bought a pair of Birkenstock shoes and didn't like them for quite some time -in fact quit wearing them for a while - took a long time to break in. I have worn Birkenstock sandles for years and expected the shoes to be the same. Now I like the shoes - only work PRN so not wearing them everyday. Not worth the $150+.

My absolute favorite work shoes are the SAS walking shoe. They are not cheap - run $100+ and last 3 times as long as the other shoes. Also come in a variety of widths. If I went back to working full time in staffing - would buy a new pair.

Tried Danskos and hated them - returned them. Felt like I was walking on wood.

New Balance is a good shoe - but I think SAS offers best support and comfort.

For non-nursing shoes - I also have a pair of black Earthshoes that I absolutely love. Don't know if they come in white or not. Hold up extremely well. Softspots are good too.

Good Luck!

I googled them and they do look comfy. I think I'll try them out.

I'm a New Balance convert! Many of their styles come in wide width. Some brands of shoes claiming to be wide are not even close as far as I'm concerned. I just got a new pair on sale today at Kohl's. I usually get runners, which are lighter weight, not to mention, that's about all we do....RUN! Clogs and/or Crocks did not work for me. Not enough support, but some swear by them. Also, I have found that expensive does not necessarily translate into comfort. All that said, it has taken me years upon years of trial and error before finding the shoe for me.

I buy New Balance 811; I get it in Men's sizes--they're wider. I also use arch support insoles to help w/the dreaded plantar fascitis.

Re: Comfy Shoes for Wide Feet?

Thanks you guys! I will go take a look at the shoes you have mentioned so far. It seems that everyone who has worn them agrees about New Balance being very comfortable.

I was going to wear crocs, but we are not allowed to wear them because of the dreaded croc stop issue. To many people have hurt themselves at our facility.
