Smile Soft Scrubs

Hello!

I am starting nursing school in about a month and I want to find soft scrubs. All the ones I have bought in the past when I was a CNA were always stiff no matter how much I washed them. The hospital supplied scrubs that the surgeons wear are always soft and seem to made of light material; I wish I could buy those!
Anybody know where I can get soft scrubs??? Or what blend is good...65/35 or 100% cotton?

Thanks

Re: Soft Scrubs

Have you thought about having them made? Or sewing them yourself? it's not too hard. or expensive.

You can get the hospital scrubs for free at pretty much any hospital if you work there.

Re: Soft Scrubs

I think part of the reason the scrubs were so soft can possibly be a part of how many times they were washed. Im sure you washed your scrubs, but compared to the number of times theyre washed in the highpowered washers at a hospitals laundry facility, its nothing. I wear scrubs everyday, and have encountered the harder scrubs, theyre obviously very new. It may have to also do with the fabric. I have some Dickies Brand scrubs that started out already soft and have remained that way.

BTW, my hospital scrubs are 50% polyester and 50% cotton

Re: Soft Scrubs

I have one set of VERY soft scrubs that are made by Barco, the Riverwashed line. They're a cotton blend, but are brushed so they feel like jammies, not stiff scrubs.

Mostly I look for all cotton if I can get them, so that they do soften up with washes. I find that the ones that are 65 poly/35 cotton never really do.

Re: Soft Scrubs

I don't know what color you are looking for, but lydia's makes pro-soft in many brights (not white) that are softer than my cotton jersey pajama sheets. Dickies makes a sandwashed line that is decently soft, and gets softer the more you wash them, but they tend to run on the small side. I also think that peaches has a very soft (and possible 100% cotton) line, but they do wrinkle a bit. The ones that are not as soft seem to last a little longer, but maybe it is because I wear the soft ones the most and they are the ones that get stained!

IguanaMed scrubs are supersoft, as are Uniform Advantage's Happy Scrubs.

Landau make a line of soft, brushed cotton scrubs too. They feel great!
