Re: What color is your stethoscope tubing?

I have a lilac littman(lightweight) which is good for BP's and such and I used it all the time when I was a CNA and a carribean littman (Master Classic II) which is nicer, I bough it for nursing school and am now using it as a RN. I prefer the lilac color, but the carribean is pretty. Allheart.com has a pretty pink breast cancer one, it is the Classic II SE, I wish they had that color in all the models, I would definently upgrade now if they had the tubing in pink! I know, it is silly, but I am such a girly girl!

Re: What color is your stethoscope tubing?

Thanks to a very loving and generous RN that felt I could make a difference with the right equipment this senior Nursing student is now proudly using a Navy Blue litman Cardiac III stethoscope. It is a wonderfull tool and should give me years of dependable service.

Re: What color is your stethoscope tubing?

Over the years I have had yellow, black and bright orange-those were all Sprague.

Mine is now a dark green Cardiology II(they don't come in as many cool colors)

Mine first was black but then I got one that matched my blood pressure cuff that was a bright blue.

Re: What color is your stethoscope tubing?

I have 3 stethoscopes. The one issued to me by my former school is royal blue and single-tubed. I own a double-tubed black steth as well as a transparent single-tubed baby blue steth.

I used to have this one in pink. Now I have a Littman Infant in Carribean: http://www.allheart.com/2113-17.html

I use covers, too. It keeps the tubing from picking up skin oils and a permanent bend from my neck. I actually don't like having "stuff" around my neck, so I put it down when I can, but if I'm working Mother/Baby, I need it w/me.

I hate Spragues--too heavy!! That cheap stethescope works just fine! I'm not a cardiologist, after all, but I can hear a murmur w/the cheap one.

I have a seafoam green Littman Classic S.E. II. The color is slightly different from the picture [I got it from allheart.com] but it's still pretty.

Navy Littman Cardiology...

I'm a little HOH and couldn't hear with my first choice...an Ultrascope

I'm seriously considering the electronic Littman...OR a hearing aid

Speaking of.....how does it work wearing a hearing aid and using a stethoscope?? Would you have to take out the hearing aid? Anybody know?
