Hey Everyone,

My wife and I just got accepted to nursing school, I got a late call about 3 weeks ago because someone dropped out and my wife got the late call on Monday because someone else dropped out, we start Sept 6th. Anyhow we went shopping for scopes and just couldn't decide. My wife really likes the look of the "ultrascope" has anyone ever used it? Is it anygood? I was thinking of the Littman "Classic II" What is everybody's recomendation.

Thanks
Aprilfool

My vote.....Ultra scope.

Many threads on here about our "ears". I suggest you do a search and read all the previous posts.

Good luck in school!

I go w/any Littman. The lightweight will do fine for her clinical experiences, yet is not so cheap as to perform poorly. It's a good deal for the money.

I started NS on Monday. I bought a traditional sprague at orientation but was having a tough time hearing. I took it with me to the uniform store and compared it to the Littmans and Ultrascope. I ended up getting the Littman Classic II. There was a definite difference between my sprague and the Littman. My instructor told us she won't be taking us to a quiet place for the BP competency. I figured it's worth the extra $ to make sure I can hear what I need to hear! I took the scope to mall and tried to find a place to engrave it. I was turned down by Things Remembered and all the jewelry stores. They advised I tried Sears. The Sears at my mall has an engraver/glass etcher. I got my name put on it for $8. My competency is next week so everyone that comes through my door gets their blood pressure taken

Littman Cardiology III. Expensive but well worth it.
