How about a good ol' Mr. Clean sponge. I'm constantly amazed at what that little gem will clean up!

Have you found that using alcohol wipes to clean the tubing of your stethoscopes makes the tubing crack (because it is dry)?

If these recommendations don't work, why not contact the manufacturer and see if you can order the pink tubing? Order enough so that the next time you don't have to jump through hoops to get it clean.

ETOH wipes do work well, but don't take care of everything. I also use the Sani-Dex wipes (or whatever you use) to get off the really nasty stuff. Had a nurse once who just threw her $80 Littmann away after it fell into the toilet. We all suggested giving it to someone or just having it sterilized in central supply, but she refused. Oh well.
