Re: The Slumping Real Estate Market

ABC News' Mary Bruce reports: Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., blamed Wall Street this weekend for the failing economy. "I think that Wall Street is the villain in the things that happened in the subprime lending crisis and other areas where investigations and possible prosecution is going on," McCain said in an exclusive "This Week" interview with George Stephanopoulos.
Even McCain thinks Wall Street is to blame.

As I read it, the 100% of profit to FHA only applies if the house is sold or refinanced in 1 year--otherwise it is a 3% fee.

I might have misread it. So if someone was to sell their house after a year it would be a 3% fee?

McCain's Mansions

The REAL John McCain is a multi-millionaire who owns luxurious homes. The REAL John McCain backs President Bush's tax cuts for big corporations. The REAL John McCain empathizes only with the interests of our nation's wealthy minority, not its money-strapped majority.
But far too many are buying into McCain's deceit, so we created this video to educate the public about the REAL McCain.

Re: The Slumping Real Estate Market

In each of the four streets surrounding my house are houses that have been emptied by foreclosure. It's a tragedy.

We're managing to keep up so far, but it's getting tight and we've had to cut back.

(Les, I decided to go the cheapie retro route in my kitchen and got formica for the cabinets and counters. Looks ok and is holding up all right too. At some point I wanted to change the counters to marble, but after you mentioned glass, I googled some pics and as far as looks go, the glass countertops would really be absolutely perfect for my decor. So thanks!)

I have not had to cut back..... but traveling will really cut back on your use of utilities...... I am lucky. I keep being reminded of that....
