Don't faint or anything, but I think I want to have "I'll Fly Away" played at mine.
We buried my grandma yesterday and sang this at the interment service:

One of the many. She was a pastor's wife for 50 years, so she had many favorites. I am sad but know that she is far better off than any of us still here.

Can't ever be too prepared. That is a pretty song.
I also think this one is pretty, from "O Brother Where Art Thou?"

I like Alison Krauss anyway, but esp like the harmonies. It just reminds me of the churches I grew up in. And it's a nice message.
I bet Tim is chomping at the bit for us to quit talking about funerals etc. and get back to the topic at hand.

Only we sang it a capella and it was AWESOME. Pentecostals know how to sing four-part harmony.
That is a beautiful song . . . . . hugs to you elvish.

Some of the songs I want played at my memorial service are "On Eagle's Wings", "I'm Already There", "Peace In the Valley", "For the Beauty Of the Earth," and Josh Groban's "The Prayer" and "You Raise Me Up". I've decided I'm not going to have a funeral, but a celebration of life.........I want people to remember me with smiles and laughter and music.
Don't know what brought that subject up.....I'm not planning on going anywhere anytime soon either!
