That's not the point. California might be close to being in play. Hispanic voters are voting for Hillary 2:1. Come November, they will have another choice, this time, for the guy they already rejected vs. MR. Immigration himself. That will put the State ALMOST in play.
Unfortunately for McCain, his base won't show up to vote for him enough to pull off California.
Unless.
Unless they show up to vote for a defense of marriage constitutional amendment and go ahead and hold their nose and vote for McCain, because, after all, they're there, anyway.
This will bring McCain's core voters to the polls where he couldn't do it, alone. It's not about which candidates support it. It's about what kind of voter this brings to the polls. In 2004, it brought President Bush Ohio, and as a result, 4 more years.
These judges think they're above the law. Meddling has consequences. Really, what burns me up isn't gay marriage, it's some latte liberal in a robe telling the American people that their opinions are backwards and don't mean squat. Go thump your Bibles and hug your guns.
It is sweet satisfaction to me that the Mass Supreme Court generated the blow-back that brought out the vote that re-elected President Bush. Irony. Here it is again, set up for McCain to carry California. Imagine that. I almost feel sorry for Steph; she might have to step up and vote for McCain in a very close California election.
