Ok....so I'm neither liberal Catholic nor conservative Evangelical. I'm a moderate Pentecostal,

though I have my left leanings on a few issues...and right leanings on others.
I personally don't have a problem with people voting however they want - even though I disagree like steph says, with voting for someone because of some superficial reason like a uterus, or a skin color, or shoot, even a party affiliation. I don't vote party lines. (I'm Independent anyway, but that's beside the point.) I vote issues. If a Pub holds the stance I like, then s/he gets my vote. Ditto for a Dem, a Lib, or a Green.
What I haven't appreciated, in recent years, is a message from some of the more conservative groups out there - the Christian Coalition, for example - that if you aren't a Republican or don't vote Republican then you should examine your faith. That's wrong, and it has turned me off. Democrats (or whoever) can be Christians too - party affiliation isn't a criterion for entrance into Heaven.
I do agree, though, that if we are all Christians, we should be able to love one another as ourselves.
