There are plenty of people in my "family" that would tell their story to news outlets, if I found myself in a position of power or notoriety. That has a lot to do with why I don't spend time with them, and why I wouldn't feel the need to maintain any kind of relationship....let alone toss money at them.

I get so tired of the "Obama is evil" rhetoric. How about something supporting the candidate you like, and why.....rather than negative information that comes off as desperate.

While you are entitled to your own opinion you should at least be factual about it. Obama met his father one time and never heard from him again. Why should he take care of a brother he has never known, I dont care if he did meet him once. That has nothing to do with how he will act as the president. It cant be any worse than Bush and Gangsta Cheney And why is he fraudulent is it because he is an educated man?

I don't know if I'm allowed to say hell as per the TOS agreement, but sorry mods I don't have time to look.

Oh hell no! What is that supposed to mean? You think the poster is black? Now I see why you are so anti-Obama/anti-change. It has nothing to do with his policies, beliefs, intentions, or familial relationships. I'm not going to say what I feel about you because anyone with sense will see what I just saw. YOUR TRUE COLORS.

Everyone needs to chill out.

Koolaid drink=reference to the Jim Jones followers that all committed suicide via drinking koolaid mixed with various poison? Or does it mean something else?

But it seems to me like you look for lame weakly based "character" rumors to try and blast Obama. Maybe you should look at the issues if you want a political debate. Its alot more intelligent.
Also, I think this thread is not really appropriate for general nursing discussion. I think you are trying to inflame people to push your right wing agenda. It doesnt seem nursing related to me.
I certainly agree with this sentiment. There are many political forums out there. Why dont you go and find one CRNA2007? Otherwise, there are threads here that discuss politics. Here is one. http://allnurses.com
I have seen you hijack a few threads in the last week alone to push your views. Are you afraid you wont be heard otherwise?

Re: Barack Obama shuns his own brother

Here's the problem with the "pushing the right wing agenda". There have been plenty of people on here pushing the "left wing agenda". That's why I hate politics because everyone is trying to shove their views and opinions down someone else's throat. We all have the right to believe what we want to believe. Not everyone is going to support Obama and that goes for McCain too.

Oh my god I just got the Kool aid reference!!
Wow, very racist if this poster is right??
Wait I have read the other meaning..........
Well if he is calling me a cult memeber, thats also not too great I guess.
Um, could the Op clarify please?

Re: Barack Obama shuns his own brother

Didn't realize it was a racial reference. Thought CRNA was refering to Jim Jones.

either that or she is imitating Bill O'Reilly from fox news. When ever he reads an email and he doesnt agree with it he always replies, you have been drinking kool aid.

Re: Barack Obama shuns his own brother

I agree that a general nursing forum isn't really the place to debate politics, but....I'd like to know why crna thinks he's a fraudulent hypocrite. to me he seems like one of the most genuine candidates in recent memory.
and if he's so self-serving, then why didn't he get a high-paying attorney job after graduating from Harvard where he was president of the harvard law reveiw. he could have written his ticket anywhere and he chose to work with underprivileged people on their behalf for a fraction of what he could have made elsewhere.
