Want to take the MS certification. How is the trend of the questions? anatomy and physiology? critical thinking skills? delegation?, intervention? and how many items is the test, a computer or pencil and paper? what reviewer is best to use, any cd's available for practice tests? Advice please.

Re: MS Certification exam

I took this test and didn't think it was too bad. I did study quite a bit for it though. I used the 450 page "study guide" the website sells and also the study question book which was very very helpful. In fact, the actual test questions were very similar to the study question book and a few of the questions were almost identical. The test is paper and pencil (yuck) and it is 200 questions. You must get 70% correct to pass after they throw out some of the questions. Also, 84% of test takers pass.

Go to the certification organizations website and you will find the answers to your questions. Are you taking the CMSRN exam? If so, go to the medsurgnurse.org site and click on "become certified"

Good luck
