Medical/Surgical Question

Hi! This may sound stupid but I'd rather ask than not know...

I am applying to hospitals for a Med/Surg position and was not sure what the following unit is:

MB-9GS Medical

The information regarding this job does not make note about the specific unit. I'm assuming it is medical and on 9th floor but am not sure what MB or GS is... mother-baby... gastro-???

Hope someone knows otherwise I'll just call the hospital.

Thanks!

Re: Medical/Surgical Question

Best to just call. Those acronyms may be related to the type of unit, or they may just have to do with which building or wing the unit is in.

Re: Medical/Surgical Question

I just took a chance and plugged that title into Google: it pulled up the New York Times Job Market page, but it also said "Job No Longer Available". Looks like someone got it!
