Re: St Mary's letters

Anyone hear anything yet? I'm in the program now and have heard from classmates rejection letters have gone out. I am interested because I'm hoping my friend gets an interview. Maybe no news is good news right now?

Re: St Mary's letters

The 1st cut letters are supposed to go out 2 weeks after the deadline, so its actually good if you don't get one. Then, per the admissions counselor, they will be making calls to those extended interviews at the end of April/beginning of May. I don't think they send out letters letting you know you have been granted an interview.

Has anyone received any letters yet?

Re: St Mary's letters

Talked to someone in the department the other day and they siad the realistic timeline for interview letter would be the last week of the month. So if you haven't heard anything yet it is probably a really good thing, and hang in there.
For those of you that did get interviews. The waiting list was all offered a position(not a normal thing) so I am guessing 30-33 people will be offered spots to start next year and 7-10 people will be placed on the waiting list. The good thing about the SMU waiting list is if you are on it you are gaurenteed a spot in the next class if you aren't taken off the waiting list for next year.
Good luck.

Re: St Mary's letters

I still haven't received a letter yet....I'm really hoping now that I don't get one and am praying for a phone call instead!
Last year, I got the "sorry you have not been selected for an interview" letter, and it was dated April 17th.

Re: St Mary's letters

I got my letter today!!!!!!! FINALLY But anyhow, the letter said I was selected for an interview--it gave some dates to select from, and then they'll call me to confirm the interview date/time. I was expecting a phone call, so I just had this awful feeling in my stomach today when I got the letter in the mail...until I opened it Yea!
So if you haven't heard anything yet, I'd guess in the few days you probably will.

Re: St Mary's letters

I got my letter today too...If it had taken any longer I would have given myself a stress ulcer. So now I can just stress about the interview
