Hello Everyone,

I'll be starting a Nurse Anesthesia Program this Fall and would like to do some prep work in Physiology and Organic Chem/BioChem to get ready for some tough first semester courses.

I prefer to take an online or distance learning course. Any recommendations? Has anyone taken the course taught by Barry University listed at
http://www.barry.edu/anesthesiology/prepare.htm
or the online medicinal chemistry and physiology prep courses taught through Virginia Commonwealth University?

I am also interested in these courses, but the cost is very expensive for the Barry University. Has anyone taken this course?? Worth the money??

This was recommended by more than one person, including one CRNA program director...I'm in the middle of it right now, and it's just the right "hardness".

I like it a lot...I'm not certain the book is adequate, but you get a set of DVD's with all the lectures. The professor is very accessible.

I have taken the Med Chem course with VCU and start at VCU in August. The course is very helpful, but it is what you make of it--- work hard, complete the reading, and complete the modules, and you should take much from it. It's set up is logical, ordered well, and basically easy to use. Some of the instructors have very thick international accents and may be a bit difficult to understand--- turn your headphones or speakers up to 'High.' Hope this helps.
