I'm going to take the summer class. I wish they were offering 2 but... oh well. I'm also taking the stats at Univ of Phoenix. But I haven't started - still trying to decide if I'm going online or to the Metairie campus.

Hey Guys,

Thinking about taking that Trends class this summer to. I do we go about enrolling for the class and who is the point of contact. Submitted my FAFSA application and will be submitting my LELA today. Looking foward to beginning. Has anyone recieved any additional application material other than having to send in our $50.00 payment?

I have to ask what is an AANA number? I guess that you have to join the organization to gain access?

Re: Any new SRNAs at LSU New Orleans?

Did anyone consider taking stats at UNO? The class is incredibly easy and I'm guessing that it's much more economical than the Univ. of Phoenix. I took the course last fall only to find out that it was a waste of my time and money...two weeks before my final project was due I received my acceptance to USAGPAN.

If you haven't already committed to Univ. of Phoenix I recommend enrolling in the summer session at UNO.

Good luck at LSU. My advice, be patient during your first semester. The CRNA program is, IMHO, disorganized. Unless changes were made to the curriculum, you will find that you will be spinning your wheels during the first semester only to get slammed in the second semester. I believe that the program could achieve balance by moving one of the spring classes up to the fall when you're not nearly as busy.

LSUHSC is a great school. I attended nursing school there and I loved it because it was detailed and organized, but then the BSN program has been around forever.

You will all do well...try to enjoy this time with your family and friends.

Re: Any new SRNAs at LSU New Orleans?

I was told we should call Dr. Kay Lopez a couple weeks before the registration date (may something) to sign up for the summer class.

About the UNO course - it is very easy, I've heard, but it would be hard for me to commit 2 days a week for the stats class, as well as one day a week for the summer NA class - and try to work a full time schedule (nights).

Re: Any new SRNAs at LSU New Orleans?

Hi there, I need some info, if anyone knows anything. I want to relocate back to LA from FLA. But, I have been told the job market for CRNA's in LA is not that good right now. What do ya'll know if anything. What has LSU or Our Lady of the Lake told ya'll about this. Any info would be much appreciated as I need to make a decision this summer, before the new school year starts. Thanks.
