You Yourself are Only You
I will proclaim the name of the Lord
I will sing a hope of faith’s reward
I will hear Your words as rain
That fall into the dew’s refrain
Let my land and people see
To discern what our course will be
Let us not our path condone
But yield to pray and then atone
Oh praise the greatness of our God
As even enemies concede and nod
To the perfect Rock in heaven’s hue
You Yourself are only You
Let my apple shine Your eye
I fall, let me stand again to try
Never hide Your face from me
Yield me to eternity
I Remember days of old
Of men who by faith were bold
As hands to heaven must declare
God provides our shield and care
Those whose Rock was never sold
By faith their legends are told
In Heaven’s bosom taken in
The world was not worthy of them
By faith I will remember
My soul I will surrender
To the Living God of yesterday
Tomorrow, forever and always
Rejoice oh Nations that discern
Promises forever firm
For those who by knowing knew
That You Yourself are only You
