Not As Much As You Love Me
As I sit here in prayer my Lord,
Abundance comes to mind about what I see
You have stuck by my side, when problems to You I poured
I love You Lord, but not as much as You love me.
From the time of my birth as a tiny babe
One who was rejected, but not by thee
Through my grandmother, the name, "Frances" You gave
I love You Lord, but not as much as You love me.
You've walked me through a life of turmoil and disgrace
But the name Frances You gave? Thank you Lord, I've learned it means free.
Many the trials I was yet to face
I love You Lord, but not as much as You love me.
You gave me the strength to follow Your lead
Despised, used, and rejected was what I was given to be
But You were always by my side, no matter my need
I love You Lord, but not as much as You love me.
Thank You for life's lessons; they've molded me to see why
You have given me grace, how unworthy, I agree
The fruits I have borne through the Holy Spirit on high
I love You Lord, but not as much as You love me.
Through suffering I've been humbled; You gave me love for mankind
I've learned how to give compassion and mercy
Leaving resentment and isolation behind
I love You Lord, but not as much as You love me.
The gifts of joy, peace, and thankfulness the Holy Spirit gave
Also patience and kindness and goodness; how glorious is He
Of gentleness and understanding, and the wisdom I've craved
I love You Lord, but not as much as You love me
How grateful I am Lord for showing me how
Through Holy Spirit's strength and guidance, more like You I can be
My Hero, my Savior, before You I bow
I love You Lord, but not as much as You love me
