what's an RN got to do?

Hello! I'm writing to see what life of an RN in ICU is like. Is it hectic? What are most of your job/life aspirations? Why are you in this field and what is keeping you going? Do you think hospitals are asking too much of ICU nurses, pay too little?

Any details would be great.
