thorazine for BP?

I am new to the SICU and just finishing orientation. My patient was a fresh postop heart with really labile pressures; from the 180s to 60s sbp. The surgeon ordered 2.5 mg of thorazine for this but it was the end of my shift and I was unable to see the results. Does anyone know how and why thorazine is used for this type of pt? Thanks in advance!
