Staffing in Critical Care

How has managed care/cutbacks effected the care of patients in the facility you work for?

I would have to say not much...yet. There has been a big push to routinely triple patients, but it really rarely happens. We are probably the best staffed ICU in the area. The rest of the hospital...that's a different story. It's to the point where docs want their non-icu patients here just because they can't get decent care on the floors anymore with the staffing the way it is.
