Hello everyone!So, I went and applied to several med -surge floors but when my boss found out I want to transfer he said I am not ready for release...and this comes a day after he told me maybe I should be loking for a slower pace working environment?
He told me also that I am doing better and that I just need to not be so anxious when facing a new situation in the ICU....So should I hang in there? Keep learning, calmly approach new situations...or should I leave ICU/
I really like the job and after talking to my boss about some of my preceptors behaviours, things seem to have changed, hopefully for my good. Just in the last two days I am getting more support by my co-workers and I feel less anxious at work. I feel like I can go on and get through this orientation ( 2 wks left)

When I was new in there. Some scolded me for particular everything. I felt stressful not to be able to defend myself. And one day, I cried and I couldn't really make myself stop. Everyone knows about it the next day. And everyone treats me better after that.

Don't let yourself bear the stress you can't handle. Cry it out. It really feels better. And you surely will find good people out there who touches by you who willing to help you grow!

Well, if you are having a change of heart, then hang in there. Only you will know what is best for you.
it is always hard being new and if you and your preceptor don't mesh, it makes it twice as hard. Maybe a nice discussion with that preceptor or a switch to a new one would be more beneficial.
