HI,
New here. I'm in the process of joining the army reserves IMA program as an icu nurse - 1st LT. Is anyone in here currently in this program, and if so I need clarification of a couple things.
1) When doing your 2 weeks, are you free to leave the base after your shift is over?
2) How likely is it to get your first or second choices in base assignments?
3) Have any of you been deployed? How long?
4) On the paperwork, the army always leaves itself the option of moving you wherever it wants if necessary. I'm wondering how likely it is that your base would be changed involuntarily.

I'm asking because I have family who will never believe what the recruiter says, and I'm looking for a third party who's actually done ARMY IMA nursing. Thanks everybody.
