preceptor for new grad in ICU going to a step down unit

What sould I be expecting from a preceptor for me to be sucessful for a step-down unit?

I think for any success, it isn't necessarily what the preceptor gives you but what you ask for...if that makes sense.

Preceptors tend to give more to people who show a real interest and are willing to learn. You need someone who meshes with your learning style adn you MUST have a good line of communication to be able to voice what you need or that you are having trouble grasping a concept.
