New grad RN in the SICU

Hello
I just recently discovered Allnurses and wish I had done so a couple years ago. I am a new grad RN and took a job in the SICU of a large (for Wisconsin) hospital. I am in a nine month training program called Critical Care University here at St. Joseph's in Marshfield.
I worked for severl years in a burn ICU as an LPN and for several more in long term care. I also used to be a combat medic in the army.
I have been reading the messages on this board and am impressed at all the experience some of you have and hope to be as copentent myself one day.

Will keep reading!

Re: New grad RN in the SICU

Well I don't really know yet as I haven't had a chance to actually work there yet. I am currently doing clinical rorations on the med-surg units as part of Critical Care University.
If it's anything like the burn ICU I worked in I will enjoy it.
