Red face Minimally invasive hemodynamic monitoring

Do any of you out there have experience with the minimally invasive hemodynamic monitoring devices? Have you found them to be useful or are they more hype than help???
Thanks for any responses,
Grace

Re: Minimally invasive hemodynamic monitoring

We use the Lidco/Pulseco system that runs off an artline. Our surgeon used them exclusively for a couple of years, but now has gone back to swans on many patients as well as the Lidco. They have to be calibrated every 12 hours, and we have had some problems with calibration and accuracy - especially if the patient is in Afib. I actually liked the lidco (when it worked) but I trust the swan more. It seems like 50% of the time we get totally different numbers on each machine when we use them together.
