I did a search but.......

Hey Guys,

Your advice has been informative and at the same time humbling.....

I forgot who it was that said "the smarter you become, the more you realize you don't know", but ya'll have opened my eyes in more ways than I can count.

So kudos to all of you..............the question I ask (after doing a site serach) is: Is it possible to prepare, take and pass the CCRN exam in one year's time. I know there is a 1500 hour bedside requirement. With a 36 hour shift week, (no extra shifts) that is logically approx 42 weeks in duration. So, it would appear that it is possible, but as always real life doesn't follow logic............so I await your experienced advice on this.

Thank you in advance

Re: I did a search but.......

Yes, it is possible as long as you get the needed hours in. However I will caution you that it is a lot of material to learn in such a short period of time. That would be a huge goal to accomplish. Congratulations on having the ambition to think ahead to the CCRN exam!

Re: I did a search but.......

Thank you oMerMero.........I usually do plan ahead........for something things years in advance, but for the CCRN, I'm planning on doing it in a year so I've started studying now for when I take the test in a 1.5 years. But it's good to know that it IS doable.

Thank you
