I was just curious, you only need a year of full time work before you can take the CCRN exam....has anyone attempted to do this...the main purpose I would be considering is to help my NA application....how long should I wait...

P.S. this is my third night off orientation, it feels AMAZINGGGG, six long months...but I officially responsible for two patients...

Hello, I've been in the ICU for a little over a year and will be taking the CCRN in the next month or so. Come and check out our thread: Anyone else studying for the CCRN, under Cardiac ICU. There are a few of us preparing for the test with only a year or two of experience. It is a very supportive thread. Thanks.

I'm a relatively new nurse...I graduated in '05, stepped into the ICU, and haven't done anything else since (except ER/CTCU float stuff)

I'm taking the test in september

IF you put in the studying time I'm sure you'd pass it - the majority of people who take the test pass it (60%)
