I am a nursing student from Alaska and will be graduating in May 2006. My husband will be moving to Houston TX next summer (new job) and I plan to follow him after graduation. I am very interested in working in Adult Critical Care. For any Houston area nurses - how difficult is it to get into Critical Care after graduating? Are there any facilities/hospitals that you recommend? Will I have a problem getting a job because I am from a different state and don't have experience? Any advice or direction will be much appreciated!

There are a ton of hospitals: Hermann Methodist system on Fanin St, St. Lukes on Fanin, Texas Heart, same street, M.D Anderson. It is a mecca of large teaching hospitals. I'm sure they would love nurses!
