critical care test----help!!

has anyone taken a critical care test required of an agency lately?? i have to take one soon and my recruiter said it was really difficult and that i should study like im studying for the ccrn!! what kind of questions are asked and what exactly should i study???

during orientation to icu in my facility there is a twelve week icu course and tests are given at the end of each unit (neuro, cardiac, etc.). At the end there is a final which you must pass within 3 attempts or take the classes again. It is very detailed information, but the unit tests were pretty much repeated in the final. I would agree that you should study like you are taking the ccrn. How long do you have to study? I would concentrate on hemos, cardiac, respiratory and neuro...the rest you can probably figure out just from general nursing knowledge. Good luck!
