Bedside test to detect pulmonary embolis

Has anyone used the Cosmo Plus, which is the newer version of the pulse ox machine, to detect pulmonary emboil at bedside instead of taking a V/Q scan? There was an article on Medscape try this URL(http://www.medscape.com/reuters/prof/1999/08.13/c108139a.html).
