I am a new Grad (May) and I am starting in an ICU internship position in June. My BLS certification expires in July. I know I will be doing ACLS for my new position. The question is, does ACLS trump BLS? What I mean is if I get my ACLS certification, do I also have to BLS? If not, then I'll have to schedule my BLS class sometime soon.

You'll find that you always have to keep them both current.
