Sorry for the dumb question, but can you work in an ICU with an ADN or do you have to have a BSN?

As long as you have your RN license, you can be either.

Absolutley you can work ICU with ADN....I work with many ( most however are older nusres that's been there for many years) I was an ADN for 5 years prior to getting my BSN.

I work as an aid in a sicu, most of our nurses are ADN's, occasionaly we have a float or agency nurse that is a LPN.

I think it depends in the state in which you work. In our unit we have plenty of LVN's also working. But the are not allowed to take swans, balloon pumps or push many cardiac drugs.
