Re: Parkinson's??

Hello fellow tremor-er!
I believe I posted something on this site some time ago. I have been diagnosed with Parkinson's x 5 years. I continue to work 3 nights every weekend (12 hour shifts) and am soon to begin a new course of therapy - swimming! I am excited to see if it helps.

I have a wonderful neurologist who never has me into his office without a new treatment or drug or suggestion from an article - he really cares about me! I have worked with him in the hospital for over 6 years and as a nurse to physician relationship he can be very "testy" at times...however, if you are a patient, he goes way beyond the norm for you. He recently gave me an article from JAMA which suggest CQ10 in large doses - I am currently on 1200 units per day and I have to admit, it really helps!
Feel free to ask anything - your friend in dopamine cells --brother, can you spare a few? C

Re: Parkinson's??

I just switched to the Neupro patch from Requip, with dramatic results. Also may have essential tremor, but that may have been a side-effect of Requip. I'll read up on CQ10. Thanks!
