Smile Hey Ya'll!!!

Hey Ya'll!!! I am new to the site and am very excited about what's in store. You are probably wondering what this thread is about. Well, ever since I was little I wanted to become a nurse and still do. I think what really sparked my interest in it is having Mild Cerebral Palsy and being around so many nurses and doctors throughout my life. I am just coming to realize now with graduating high school quickly appproaching, that I really still have a strong desire to become a nurse and help others like I have been helped throughout my life. I just worry that my disability is going to be looked down upon in my pursuit to become a nurse. Is this the case? I just worry that people aren't going to think I have much potential because of it. I really hope that is not the case because I really would love to fufill my dream.

I would love to hear your feeback! Thanks!!!!!

Re: Hey Ya'll!!!

As long as you are physically capable of doing your job, it shouldn't be a hinderance. So hold on to your dreams. Welcome to Allnurses!
