anyone ever have an IDET?

Just wondered if anyone has ever had an IDET performed? I am concerned about when I go back to work and what to expect. My hospital has a history of not following my restrictions so I am understandably worried. I've been off for about 3 weeks now but I feel that my doc will release me to some kind of work status soon.

I don't know what an IDET is. I know most jobs won't allow you to work unless it is without restrictions, unless it is a work related injury.
