Any nurses out there with Adult Congenital Heart Disease

Hello,

I started this thread to see if anyone else out there has ACHD. If you do, how has it affected your career? I am 28 and starting nursing school in May and have had no major issues thus far. Just want to know how others cope with this issue incase something comes up. Hope to hear from someone soon!!!!

Re: Any nurses out there with Adult Congenital Heart Disease

Kudos to you for going into nursing. I don't have any cardiac history, but I do have an 11 yr old son who is hypoplastic left heart. It's given me a great sense of peace seeing your post. I often wonder where he'll be in a few years. Your post tells me he'll be where ever he wants to be. Good luck to you
