I understand that. I do most of mine out of state. Email, fax, phone, snail mail, etc.

An excellent legal software program will enable you to do your reports accurately and effectively with minimal effort. Excellent for communication via email.

Do you have some suggestions?

BTW - I'm a little excited.... took my son to work today. To my surprise the mall where he works was hosting a "Chamber of Commerce information to the public" event - 30+ booths..... I had not even planned to get out of the car, don't yet have a business suit yet, or my business cards or ANY marketing materials. Any way, I got out and went in and started making the circuit of the tables.....

Outcome:

4 names/contacts - one volunteered the name of a lawyer who does accident cases - another is calling me next week and emailing me a list of lawyers she knows AND their specialities! (not to worry - I'll be calling both these ladies, not waiting on their calls )

Also 3 other contacts for marketing - 2 for marketing packets, with editing and 4-color digital printing (and one of those also has POB AND sign for packages) - and the other a business doing professional website hosting and development

several other names, including 2 for home health employment (I need part time work until this gets off the ground!)

All in all not a bad day for a lady dressed to clean house!!

Hi, henayneiCLNC,

WOW! How very exciting for you. Yes, the Chamber is an excellent place to make contacts. You did well, my friend. You are well on your way.

Send me a pm regarding software assistance.

CONGRATULATIONS!

I also joined the Chamber of Commerce in my area. The Commerce has been so helpful. I get a free website link for my membership. I am finding they are an excellent resource for business background training and resource.

I've thought of that, but they are rather expensive where I come from... still, when I have the funds I plan on joining one here that covers 3 counties...

Re: Legal Nurse Consulting and Marketing Ideas

Speaking of websites. That is somethig I am resisting. But I guess I will have to do. Any suggestions on how to go about setting it up?

I was thinking about going to Go Daddy (can I say that here) and just getting the basic website builder. A simple one or 2 page discription of my services and a professional photo with contact info. (Yeah, one more thing to put on my to do list, professional photo)

I don't know how much of what to buy and what I can do without when it comes to a web site. Help!

Re: Legal Nurse Consulting and Marketing Ideas

Hi! I just posted some questions on another thread, but all were answered here. This thread and some of the posters here are definitely a wealth of information. Thanks, Siri, and everyone else! This should be required reading for any aspiring LNCs!

After reading this thread and doing some other research, I'm pretty certain LNC is not right for me right now. I need 'easy money' presently (and, yeah, I'm great at what i do, so i do consider staffing at a dialysis unit 'easy' ). I have young children and a big mortgage. The marketing and uncertainty at the beginning of this endeavor would be too stressful at this phase in my life. And i strive for a long happy low-stress life.
It might be a great option for me in a few years, though!

Thanks again, momo

PS i suggest keeping this thread alive for other lookers and newbies...

Sorry for your hang-up but I was glad to read that I am not the ONLY LNC out her feeling the same as you. I have been working to get my business going now for 3 months with no response. I have yet to get past the gate keeper. I give them credit --- they do their job well!
I am not giving up because I think Maine is slow to pick up on this skill. I'm devoting full time to getting my business going so hopefully something will happen before I strave. (LOL only kidding)

Good Luck
