Hello, faithingodmsn and Welcome to allnurses.com and the Legal Nursing forum
RN1989 has given you some good advice. Thank you, RN1989. You are
always helpful......
I always advise those who are interested to sincerely search their reasons for considering the LNC career. You must have a love of the Law, be able to search/research for hours on end, be able to apply SOC/SOP to any situation, and be able to suffer disappointment when time and again, you are denied attorney interviews and/or unable to secure cases. I will not sugar-coat it for you; it is a difficult career path. It is like starting all over with a brand new career only this time, you have to be business savvy as well as nursing savvy.
BUT, you can be successful for many are......
So, in saying this, make a list of pros/cons. Like RN1989 said, you will need "disposable" money for the initial setup (including education if this is the path you choose as well as initial business start up expenses).
Just look through this forum and if you have specific questions/concerns, please do not hesitate to pose them here. We are here to help you.
And, enjoy allnurses.com!!!
Good luck with your decisions............
