Questions? - How do you get past the gatekeeper?

How do you get past that person in the attorney's office that states that they already have or already use a legal nurse consultant? Do you just say thank for your time and move on or what do you say to get past them? Is it worth it to try any further?

If they already utilize an LNC, there really isn't any use trying to land that attorney, IMO. Of course, they could be just telling you that, but if they use one, they probably haven't a need for another.

As for how to get past the gatekeeper in general, read the marketing tips in this forum for info about that.

I think I might ask for the LNCs name, just to see if they are blowing you off or not.

I don't know, RN1989. That might be a little pushy, IMO.

There are so many others from which to choose. I'd just let it go.........for now. Besides, a name doesn't mean anything. They could just be pulling that from the air, so to speak.

Re: How do you get past the gatekeeper?

I was thinking of something innocent along the lines of "Oh, I hadn't realized that there was another LNC working in this area. Would you mind giving me their name? I would love to get in touch with them and network with a colleague."

Then you could check them out to see if you can find them. If they were for real, you'd have a colleague to network with and if they weren't for real, then you'd know and if you really wanted work from that attorney, send more marketing info on your services.

Not a bad idea, RN1989. Good comeback.
