AALNC course

Hello all and Happy New Year!!
I finally made a decision on which LNC course to take and it is the AALNC program. I am wondering, for those of you who are or have taken this course, did you buy books for the program or just go with the online material?
tnbutterfly, I know that you are in this course, how is it so far? Any problems?
Anyone, else have any thoughts?
Thanks in advance for all the great help and advice!

Good to read of your decision, bungieRN. I know that's a load from your mind.

tnbutterfly will be along later to assist you.

Good luck with the program. I think you will be very satisfied.

Good morning BungieRN

Congratulations on your decision to begin the AALNC online program. I know you are excited to get started down this new avenue.

I did purchase the book, Legal Nurse Consulting Principals and Practice. Although all the reading material is provided online, I prefer to have it to refer to during the course as well as later. I tend to retain more if I can highlight the material as I read it. So, it will just be a matter of personal preference for you as well.

I have been very pleased with the material so far. The first module is mostly introductory material and, as such, is a little dry. But it gets more interesting with the second module. There is alot of material, but I feel AALNC has done a very thorough job. Right now 5 of the 8 modules are available.

I would encourage you to register for AALNC membership so that you make take advantage of the discounted price on the training material as well as other member benefits. Please refer to the link below which outlines the benefits of AALNC membership.

If I may be of further assistance, please don't hesitate to post your questions here or you may pm me.

Re: AALNC course

I just finished the first module of AALNC program, while I felt that it was a little dry and did repeat some things, I think it was a good introduction. I can't wait to start the next module as I am tenacious when I start something.
TNbutterfly, when do you think the last three modules will be available. Where are you in the program?
Thanks for all of the great advice and of course for the "ear". I love being a part of such a great group of professionals.

Re: AALNC course

Congratulations on finishing the first module, bungie. You are right about being tenacious, and that's good with this type of program. At this rate you will finish before me. I need some of your tenacity.

I don't know when the remaining 3 modules will be ready, but when I spoke to them last fall, thay anticipated they would be completed by the end of the year. Looks like they missed that deadline, but let's hope they are ready soon.

Good luck as you continue through the program. Feel free to pm me.
