Possibly it was because you were helping her with orginizing, getting a pattern going that worked for the two of you. It's unfortunate that she lost you, I'm sure you do good work.
In the future, try to start a discussion at the appropriate time and ask how you're doing. Can I do something better for you, I generally have just blurted out, ok how do you handle this, etc. Or if I can see some disorginization, which isn't uncomon and I have a way to make it better, I suggest it. Dr.'s are thinking alot about all sorts of things medically and most due appreciate a dedicated nurse.
