Universal Healthcare on PBS tonight

Bill Moyers profiles the fight the California Nurses Association (CNA) has been waging over universal healthcare.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=QN4KCcQ4l2Y

"There shouldn't be a double standard," says Rose Ann DeMoro, executive director of CNA. "We, as the public, pay for Dick Cheney's care. Why is the government not providing the same type of care to all Americans?", airing Friday, May 2, at 9p.m. on PBS (check local listings). For more:

Re: Universal Healthcare on PBS tonight

Excellent show,I agree that none of the candidates really have the right idea about true universal health care. The CNA and the Medicare For All idea still seems to be the way to go.On Monday I am having my SSDI hearing and according to my attorney I have a excellent chance of winning at this level, SO I will be eligible for Medicare immediately, no two year waiting period D/T the fact that I have already been waiting two years for the hearing.MDs and clinics would have to accept Medicare For All, or they would have to reimburse at a higher rate., OR keep the costs low, like other countries have done .

What scares me about Medicare is that so few doctors will accept patients with regular Medicare, because of the low reimbursement rate .Most Medicare patients are forced to buy an extra supplemental policy, so that they can be seen by a private practice MD.I hear that some clinics are very choosy about what supplemental insurance they will accept.I am new to all of this, any good advice? Clinic nurses?
