Ok here is my situation, I applied to the university of maryland SON and to my local community college's adn RN program. I didnt get accepted into umbc because I dont have the required 3.7 gpa. I did however get into my current colleges adn RN program. My goal is to become a CRNA so I want to get my BSN. My dilema is do I start the adn program and get my rn then go rn to bsn or just reapply for the spring semester? My gpa is currently 3.4. Umbc only accepts 90 ppl and the average gpa to get into the school is 3.7. Any help or ideas would be appreciated.

I have looked into CRNA as well and I am here to tell you, they do not care that you started as a BSN or ADN. This is my suggestion. Take the ADN program. After you graduate, start working in an ICU. Most RN-BSN tracks are about one year. You can do this while you are working. At the end of 3-4 years you will be ready to enter CRNA school. If you wait, most CRNA programs want you to have a minimum of one year exp in critical care. You will still have to complete that after you 4 year BSN before you apply to CRNA school.
